Selma Karamay

A woman filled with Life, Sorrow and Love
To play her part upon the stage of man
Descended out of Heaven like a dove
To do for her heart everything she can

There was a Destiny she had to face
They mashed her underneath the iron boot
Shall mockery exalt above her grace
And make out of her soul a little loot?

The play of Love and Death were in her part
For those she loved she gave her final breath
Her painful labor stabbed her in the heart
Surrendering her soul unto its death

Solo

An angel greeted her by doors above
Asking, “Do you want to know if you were kind?”
She replied, “Only tell me I was loved,
And guard with mercy those I leave behind!”

I'm in Love with an Alien

She dropped to Earth on a falling star
Sirius B is very, very far
She came in the starry night to love me
And give me her interstellar space-key

I’m in love with an Alien
Like Lucy in the Sky
I’m in love with an Alien
Maybe she’s a Bi!

She talks to crows and dances at bus stops
And throws her peace sign up high for the cops
She laughs as she sings crazy wayward thoughts
Whenever she sings them I love her lots

I’m in love with an Alien
Like Lucy in the Sky
I’m in love with an Alien
Maybe she’s a Bi!

Solo

She’s an angel from the Hammered Bracelet
She said, “I wait for the golden sun-set!
For then the stars will appear in the sky,
And all my loved ones will learn how to fly!”

I’m in love with an Alien
Like Lucy in the Sky
I’m in love with an Alien
Maybe she’s a Bi!

I’m in love with an Alien
Like Lucy in the Sky
I’m in love with an Alien
Maybe she’s a Bi!

My Sorrow

My sorrow withers like the scarlet rose
That proudly stood as queen of summers’ field
When the day should fold and finally close
The flower to the night must graceful yield

My sorrow calls me by name in a dream
Of you upon the wild green mountain lee
In your embrace tears are a flooding stream
Dark secrets of my heart must come to be

My sorrow is the word I dare not speak
But for the agony that dwells in you
As human I am strong yet I am weak
I want to weep the tears we never knew

My sorrow grips my heart not just for me
But so the suff'ring one may be released
And every tear upon your face I see
That flow from memories that are deceased

Tread lightly; there are tomb-stones in my heart
Take the flowers you gathered; plant them there
In songs of joy and sorrow play our part
And in the summer day meet me with care

Solo

My sorrow withers like the scarlet rose
That proudly stood as queen of summers’ field
When the day should fold and finally close
The flower to the night must graceful yield
